About Us
SA Drums & Percussion and SA Guitars & Keys is a family run business. The publications come out every 2 months and are distributed to most music stores and music schools nationwide.
Adrian Smith – Owner and Editor of SA Drums & Percussion – is a drummer, has been drumming for many years and currently runs his own music school ‘The Muso’s Lab” over and above running the publication, has taken his love for drumming and put it into a publication that has only received positive acclaimation. His tireless efforts pay off every two months when the publication “hits” the streets and the many positive emails he receives about the publication is reward for his hard work.
Clint Smith – Co-Owner and co-editor of SA Drums & Percussion – drummer himself has played for Joshua Band, The Parkeys, Joe F, and Full Frontal to name but a few, is currently busy with an AC DC tribute show that has been very successful. He contributes reviews, articles and helps run the distribution in the Gauteng area when the publication is printed.
Leigh Smith – Editor and Owner of SA Guitars & Keys, is a mean guitarist, self taught and is currently taking lessons from Blackie Swart. Leigh saw that there was a gap in the market for a guitar and keys magazine and after the 2nd issue came out has received only positive feedback. Leigh has been in bands “Nat Koerant” and is currently the lead guitarist for Full Frontal who is busy with the AC DC tribute show. Leigh runs this publication together with his Fiance Katelyn Sutton.
Sean Nunan – our Cape Town correspondent oversees the distribution of both publications in the Cape Town Area. Sean is a member of “Almost Famous” band and has a passion for drumming that is outstanding. He obtains many interviews for the publication and does reviews for the kits and sticks etc. Sean comes a long way with the magazine as he was in place when Geore Voros – the founding member – of the SA Drums & Percussion magazine started the publication.

Travis Marc – our Gauteng correspondent oversees some of the distribution in the Gauteng area as well as contributing editorials and reviews to the publication. Travis is a brilliant drummer and is currently a member of i Grooves, Munkin Pure, he teaches drums, plays the guitar and sings. Travis is called on many times to take part in bands, be it live or in studio. He has over 10 years experience in the drumming industry is a hard worker and is most passionate about his work especially with the publication.
Wouter Botes – our PE correspondent distributes the magazines in and around Port Elizabeth and he has been on board since the early days with George.
